You are bidding on a lot of 8 vintage maps, five states, one state/info-map and two city maps.
They are by Gulf, Esso, American, Amoco and Mobil with dates from the 40/50s,60s & 70s.
*  The
Gulf/Alabama map is also an Info-Map. This lithograph map is for Alabama but also shows roads in VA./KY/TN/NC/SC/MS/AL/GA and FL. The date is unknown but gives a 1937 estimate for the population of Alabama. It has some tears, stains and the highlighted route is from Mobile to Washington, DC. Also, it has written street directions for the owner's final destination.
*  The 1946 Esso map of VA, WV, DE and MD is also a pictorial guide with sites to see/visit in each of the states. It is in excellent condition with no tears, rips or stains.
*  The 3 American maps are probably from the mid-60s since they cite the 1960 census data. They cover OH, PA and a metropolitan map for Pittsburgh. They are in fair condition with tears, stains, highlighted routes and some written notes.
*  The other city map is a 1960 AMOCO map for Washington, DC. It is stamped "Capital Garage" and the address. Interesting side note is that the garage was built in 1926. At that time it was the largest garage in the world. It shows wear and a few tears but is an excellent look at 1960 DC.
*  Another AMOCO map is a May 1976 Bi-Centennial for DE, MD, VA, and WV. It contains ads, points of interest and hotels with an emphasis on Holiday Inns, since they are prominent on the map. It is in VG condition with a few tears.
*  The mid to late 70's Mobil map is for the Eastern US and covers Florida to Maine from the east coast to just west of Chicago. It has an insert of the entire US with travel times/routes using the major roads. It is in good condition with a few tears and stains.
